Mobile home lot rent assistance.

Find help with paying lot rent, including for a mobile or manufactured home or even an RV. There are assistance programs available to help low-income families or single people that own or lease a home, including government programs, non-profit organizations, churches, and other resources. Get help with the rental payment for a mobile home lot.

While the number of programs available is more limited than for say helping to pay for an apartment, the fact is manufactured home owners (or tenants of a mobile home) can get help with paying the rent due to the property owner – a.k.a. lot owner. There are non-profits in most communities, Housing Coalitions, USDA or HUD programs as well as charities or churches that offer money for paying the costs to lease the land for a mobile from or trailer. Charities and non-profits that help pay rent on mobile or manufactured homes

Mobile home communities help senior citizens, including those on a fixed income, and retirees. There are communities that focus on providing retirees with affordable lot rent for their manufactured home as well as other amenities. Salvation Army, the Christian faith-based organization, offers support to the working poor, including those that need lot rent assistance or that live in a mobile home or trailer. The charity has limited funding, and often relies on donations, but when possible there is help for rent for the land the home sites on, grants for utility bills and other support. Many churches offer rent assistance, including for a mobile home lot. The funds are limited, have strict application processes, and all churches have different types or amounts of financial help. With many mobile home communities in rural areas, a church near will often be a great option for help with past due lot rent.

Seek free legal services. If facing eviction or behind on the lot rent consider applying for legal advice from a pro bono lawyer or free legal aid organization. Help with lot rent from the government

The federal government, as well as state or county specific programs, help low-income families, seniors on a fixed income or others pay the rent for a lot. Many of the government agencies that offer money for apartment or rent on a house also over mobile or manufactured homes. Some options from federal, state, or local government offices are below.

The Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program can help with lot rent. This federal program, coordinated by HUD with public housing agencies near you, can assist with rent payments for manufactured or homes under specific conditions. In general, Section 8 will help pay the ongoing monthly rent, based on income, for any private landlord owned property, whether it is an apartment, house, or mobile home or trailer on a lot. Grants to pay back rent on a lot is offered from homeless prevention and rapid rehousing. The federal government funds it with local charities disbursing the money. Emergency Solutions Grants (ESG) is a government benefit in which applications are processed in every state. The homeless prevention includes lot rent assistance, money to relocate or move, eviction prevention, and other homelessness solutions to low-income families or the unemployed. The USDA Rural Development agency provides rental assistance for manufactured home communities in the form of income-based housing. The grants will pay for leased properties including the lot, with funds for some mobile home communities, that are based in rural parts of the country. HUD's Office of Manufactured Housing Programs provides grants to help with lot rent on manufactured homes as well as addresses other needs. The government agency, known as OMHP, also administers federal manufactured home construction and safety standards to ensure the mobile house is safe. HUD can often provide information on financial assistance programs that assist with manufactured home living, including hardship funds for the mobile home lot rent. Assistance is offered to low-income families for mobile home lot rent if/when needed. Some programs do focus on seniors, rural communities or the disabled, but resources are available.
