United Ministries, which is located in nearby Erlanger, may be able to offer help to individuals of families who are facing an eviction or disconnection of their utility service. They also have a summer fan program, food bank, clothing, and holiday assistance. Another focus is on providing prescription medications and health care equipment. St. Vincent De Paul - This non-profit provides temporary financial assistance and other forms of aid and support, including prescription medications. Boone County Department of Children and Family Services is the Social Service agency that provides government grants, public aid, job programs and other resources. Most of this is for the very low income, poor, disabled, elderly and others. A number of public assistance programs are offered, and they include SNAP food stamps or WIC vouchers.

  • There are Medicaid and SSI disability applications, section 8 housing vouchers, elder care, and TANF temporary cash aid. Boone and Kenton County Catholic Charities is part of the diocese that serves the entire region. Social workers can provide some direct aid and refer qualified residents to other resources.
