Covington and Kenton County area Catholic Charities assistance programs.

A number of resources are offered by the Covington Catholic Charity organization. The focus is on addressing housing needs, including rent and mortgage challenges. Other support tends to focus on offering food, information, referrals, and more to the struggling and low income in Kenton County and across northern Kentucky. The charity and its churches will also try to help individuals gain self-sufficiency over the long term as well.

Food and meals are provided by the Catholic Charity Parish Kitchen. While the location can change over time, the center is currently located at the southeast corner of Russell and Pike streets in downtown Covington and other centers may be available in nearby area such as Boone County. As funding, resources, and donations allow, the kitchen can provide free hot and nutritious meals. They are served with both hospitality and dignity to hungry people and those who need help. Housing assistance is offered for renters, current homeowners, and potential buyers. Various housing services are offered for those individuals and families who are seeking stable housing. Programs are offered for those who are renting or looking to buy. Assistance available includes landlord/tenant mediation, budget and credit repair counseling, free foreclosure and loss mitigation counseling, home purchase preparation, financial literacy education, home repair, and even maintenance skill development.

When potential home buyers in Covington understand the entire process from start to finish, they have the confidence to evaluate what they can afford.
