    They provides help to individuals and families who do not have prescription drug medication coverage. They will also assist with medical supplies and other health care needs. There are other health insurance plans for the uninsured in Tennessee.
  • Car Repair and Transportation Program
    Families can even receive grants and down payment assistance to help them purchase a reliable, used automobile for work. Or, if you have an automobile that needs repairs, they will provide limited financial assistance to help repair the car.   • Emergency Aid and Services

  • Housing Repairs
    Home repair assistance for safe water supply , septic systems, and other improvements such as the construction of wheelchair ramps.




  • Register for the Low-Income Home-Energy Assistance Program
    This utility bill assistance program will assist with the payment of cooling and heating costs. In addition, emergency energy bill assistance is available if your service is about to be disconnected.

Free food assistance programs and aid

The non profit agency Community Food Partners: a Program Of Second Harvest Food Bank Of Middle Tennessee (phone (615) 329-3491) provides groceries and food to charities and agencies that feed senior citizens, poor children, unemployed, struggling parents, the homeless, the disabled. Another non-profit to contact is Rutherford County Emergency Food Bank, which helps relieve and end hunger in south Rutherford County by serving low income and other persons who are temporarily unable to provide groceries or food for themselves. Phone (615) 895-1148.

They can offer referrals to the disabled with eviction due to unpaid rent, people whose utilities are at risk of being shut off or disconnected, or information on shelters.
