Free food pantries in Miami Dade County.

Food banks, soup kitchens and free emergency pantries in Miami as well as Dade County Florida can provide some free groceries as well as other items for individuals and families who are in need. Many also have personal hygiene products, paper goods, detergent, or free household supplies in addition to food. Services are provided on an as needed basis, and may be limited as funding allows. Find locations as well as information on the leading food pantries near you and distribution centers in Miami Dade. There is also a referral number at the bottom of this page.

In addition to providing free food, groceries, or perishables items, many of the centers in Miami can offer other forms of assistance. For example, receive counseling on how to eat or cook healthy, possible access to clothing closets or thrift stores, and much more. Or they offer free Thanksgiving turkeys, Christmas meals, and holiday gifts. All of this will be in addition to the direct food assistance that can be distributed. They also help people of all backgrounds, including Latinos, Cubans, immigrants, and others.

In addition, if a Miami food bank can’t meet your particular need, they can often refer an individual to various government assistance programs, both offered by Florida and the federal government. Case managers can often provide information on and help people apply for state of Florida public assistance programs.
