Free food pantries, groceries and soup kitchens in Miami Dade County.

Locate food banks, soup kitchens and free emergency food pantries in Miami - Dade County Florida. the distribution centers will provide help to low-income families or people with no money. Get free groceries from a pantry open today as well as other items for families  Find a free food pantry near you in the Miami-Dade County area.

Many distribution centers also have personal hygiene products, paper goods including toilet paper, detergent, or free household supplies as well as a drive thru food bank. Services are provided on an as needed basis, and may be limited as funding allows. Low-income families, immigrants, seniors and single mothers, among others, will get a free food box. There is also a referral number at the bottom of this page.

In addition to providing free groceries, or perishables items, many of the centers in Miami offer other forms of assistance. For example, receive counseling on how to eat or cook healthy, possible access to a drive-thru pantry clothing closets and much more. Or they offer free Thanksgiving turkeys, Christmas meals, and holiday gifts. All of this will be in addition to the direct food assistance that can be distributed. They also help people of all backgrounds, including Latinos, Cubans, immigrants, and others, with applications in Spanish too.

In addition, if a Miami FL community food bank can’t meet your particular need, they can often refer an individual to various government assistance programs, both offered by Florida and the federal government. Case managers can often provide information on and help people apply for state of Florida public assistance programs. Salvation Army of southern FL and Dade County
there are multiple sites. Resources include a food pantry, Christmas and Thanksgiving meals, and maybe even home delivered meals for the homebound as well as senior citizens. On occasion Dade County families may also receive financial assistance for basic needs such as rent or cooling bills. The free pantries and drive thrus will have fresh food, groceries, pasta, bread, cereal and other goods.

Catholic Charity churches in Miami help feed the poor, disadvantaged, and needy. Many assistance programs are offered, including f free food pantry, thrift store, and financial aid. When it comes to food, there is rice, oatmeal, Peanut Butter, Pasta, bread, soap, detergent, sanitizer, and more. The Dade County churches rely on volunteers to run the client choice pantry. Miami Dade Community Action helps fight poverty. This also includes hunger. They do this by helping people apply for benefits, including the following. NEw or single moms can apply for WIC, also called the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children.
