Dallas County free health care centers and community clinics.

Dallas clinics and charitable medical centers provide a wide variety of health as well as dental care to low income and others in the community. There is assistance from a local community clinic for adults, children, immigrants, and residents who do not have health insurance. Below you will find information, including addresses and phone numbers, of free as well as low cost community clinics. There is also information on prescription drug programs, diabetes programs, glasses and more in the Dallas County Texas region.

A number of different medical and health care services as well as other programs are offered by the free clinics. They range from immunizations, general checkups, prescription medications, referrals for care to federal and state of Texas assistance programs, help for diabetes patients, cardiac programs, and social services. Some patients of the health care centers may need to pay some money towards their bills, and charges will be based on a sliding fee scale. Note that both Medicaid and CHIP are accepted towards paying some of your medical bills as well.

Some estimates show that about 25% of residents of the Dallas County region either do not have health insurance, have limited coverage, or struggle with paying their medical bills. The community clinics can help these individuals by offering some reduced rates or free health care. Of course this is only an option if qualifications are met.
