There are several financial assistance programs as well as places for free stuff available for the working poor as well as low income in Rogers County. Whether it is a church passing out free clothes or food or some money to help pay rent or cleanings from a dental clinic, help is offered. The Christian based church also coordinates homeless shelters, holiday meals and gifts, or school supplies for children from low income households. Community Action Resource and Development, Inc. is the community action agency in the area. They run different social service type programs that can help people who are facing a crisis. They also work to break the cycle of poverty.

A number of homeless prevention, hunger fighting, and free employment services are offered. CARD Inc., which is based in Claremore Oklahoma, provides rent assistance and housing aid to eligible participants in the Rogers county area. There is help for veterans, the unemployed, single mothers and others.

Health and medical care in Rogers County

Oklahoma Community Health Services, Inc. is a community clinic that provides a comprehensive range of health care services to the uninsured and under insured in Rogers County. Rogers County Oklahoma free groceries and food pantries

Some centers are noted below. But there are several other food pantries, soup kitchens and government resources available, including options such as WIC or food stamps. DestinyLife Church is located at 1055 W Blue Starr Dr., Claremore, Oklahoma 74017, phone (918) 341-1765. Distributes food up to 6 times per day to the needy and low income in Rogers County. Senior assistance programs

A few options include Claremore Senior Citizens Centers as well as the Claremore Meals on Wheels. There is also another non-profit, the Inola Senior Citizens Center.

The Senior Citizens Center in Claremore (475 E Blue Starr Dr, Claremore (call 918) 341-4734)) will help provide food as well as a nutritious, affordable lunch or meal for seniors who are age 50 and older. Inola Senior Citizens Center, which is at 205 S Broadway St, Inola, OK 74036, offers numerous senior services. There is grant money, homecare and medical or food including serving seniors in the area 12 month a year, 5 days each week. The center provides lunches or other meals on Tuesdays and Thursdays every week.
