Salem and Marion County Oregon free food pantries.

Marion County and Salem Oregon food banks can help the low income and needy across the area. The are soup kitchens as well as free pantries located at charities, non-profits, and churches near you. Based on donations available, the centers can provide help to those who need it. Also find a toll free phone number at the bottom of the page for referrals.

The programs and assistance provided range from free food, groceries, and meals, up through clothing as well as free household supplies or toiletries. Many non-profits also help families living in or near poverty apply for public aid, including food stamps, free school lunches or breakfast or WIC vouchers. Or get free Thanksgiving turkeys or Christmas meals.

The demand for services offered by the Marion County food banks is very high. Unfortunately resources and funding is limited. One of the key benefits of the Salem area food banks as well as the pantries is that they can refer individuals to other resources. For example, learn about and get help in applying for food stamps, school lunches from the state of Oregon, and more. The bottom line is that the food pantries help many families every year. Support is available to clients with meeting their food and nutritional needs.
