Fulton County Georgia and Atlanta free food banks, soup kitchen or pantries.

Atlanta and Fulton County Georgia free food pantries provide resources to the needy as well as low income. At most of the centers, case managers can direct families to long term assistance (such as SNAP food stamps) or provide a box of free groceries in a crisis. There are a few dozen primary food pantries near you, locations of soup kitchens and charities that serve the region. Options available range from food banks to Meals on Wheels and more. Or get toll free referral numbers at the bottom of the page. They also help Atlanta families that are facing an emergency food shortage, and they ensure the resident does not go hungry.

The food banks, churches, pantries, and not for profit organizations listed below serve meals and/or provide free food to tens of thousands of Fulton County as well Atlanta families every year. There is assistance for seniors, children, and those with special diets as well. Meals on Wheels is another service offered in the community.

Some of the clients may need food on a one off basis to make it through a difficult period, or some individuals may need more ongoing, longer term support such as help in applying for SNAP food stamps. The exact type of assistance provided by food banks, soup kitchens as well as distribution centers will vary, so an applicant will need to call or stop by a facility to learn more and get the specifics. A limited number of centers will also have free Christmas meals, clothing, and school supplies.
