Free food banks, groceries and pantries Fulton County Georgia and Atlanta.

Atlanta and Fulton County Georgia free food pantries provide groceries, personal hygiene supplies and meals to the low income. At most of the centers, case managers can also direct families to long term assistance (such as SNAP food stamps) or provide an emergency box of free healthy food today for a crisis. There are a few dozen primary food pantries near you, locations of soup kitchens and charities that serve the region. Options available range from food banks to Meals on Wheels and more.

Or get toll free referral numbers at the bottom of the page to other Atlanta GA free pantries. They also help Atlanta families that are facing an emergency food shortage. The charities and churches try to ensure the resident does not go hungry.

The food banks, churches, pantries, and not for profit organizations listed below serve meals and/or provide free food to tens of thousands of Fulton County as well Atlanta GA families every year. There is assistance for seniors, children, and those with special diets as well. Meals on Wheels is another service offered in the community.

Some of the clients may need food on a one off basis to make it through a difficult period, or some individuals may need more ongoing, longer term support such as help in applying for SNAP food stamps. The exact type of assistance provided by food banks, soup kitchens as well as distribution centers will vary, so an applicant will need to call or stop by a facility to learn more and get the specifics. A limited number of centers will also have free Christmas meals, clothing, and school supplies.

Many Atlanta area food distribution centers also partner with some of the leading national charity organizations, such as Feeding America, the Salvation Army, or Catholic Charities. Sometimes the amount of assistance they can provide is extensive.
