Food banks, free groceries and pantries Fulton County Georgia and Atlanta.

Atlanta and Fulton County Georgia food pantries provide free groceries, personal hygiene supplies and meals to the low income. At most of the distribution centers, case managers can also direct families to long term assistance (such as SNAP food stamps) or provide an emergency box of free healthy food today for a crisis. There are a few dozen primary food pantries and soup kitchens in Fulton County GA that may be near you, listed below.

Other options available range from food banks to Meals on Wheels and more. There is assistance for seniors, children, and those with special diets as well. Meals on Wheels is another service offered in the community. Or get toll free referral numbers at the bottom of the page to other Atlanta GA free pantries. The charities and churches try to ensure the resident does not go hungry.

Some of the clients may need food on a one off basis to make it through a difficult period, or some individuals may need more ongoing, longer term support such as help in applying for SNAP food stamps. The exact type of assistance provided by food banks, soup kitchens as well as distribution centers will vary, so an applicant will need to call or stop by a facility to learn more and get the specifics. A limited number of centers will also have free Christmas meals, free dog or pet food, and personal toiletries.
