Wayne County Indiana food pantries.

Wayne County Indiana food pantries, most of which are run by charities or not-for-profit organizations, are a resource that low income or struggling families can turn too. The locations will try to meet requests for free or affordable food. Many centers also will have meals, including at Christmas, or provide other services such as financial aid or information on government benefits.

The hours of each of the food banks is limited. Also, the shelves at each center may not always be fully stocked as they rely on donations. So families in the Richmond area may not always be able to select exactly what they need. But what may be offered, when available, includes perishable or canned food, hygiene items, or even clothing for winter or supplies for children. But the focus of a pantry will always be to give food to a needy client.
