Tulare County free Christmas and holiday assistance.

When it comes to receiving a free toy for a child in Tulare County, several charities as well as churches may be able to assist. Most of them are part of the Toys for Tots program, however there are other agencies as well. Several non-profits also offer food baskets as well as meals during the holidays.

During October through December, thousands of low income families apply for a gift. The distribution dates will very, but the household may be given a free present around mid-December or so. Holiday meals, both at Thanksgiving, Easter, and Christmas, are usually served within a couple days of the major event.

Salvation Army centers
There are a couple. They provide programs such as Angel Tree (which may have donated gifts, clothing, and more), and also help seniors at Christmas. Other social services include a Turkey at Thanksgiving, applications to government aid, Adopt a Family, job placement, and much more.
