Raytown Emergency Assistance Program.

The charity known as Raytown Emergency Assistance Program provide services to families in need across the township and school district of Raytown. Whenever possible they will try to provide families with financial aid for shelter expenses (such as rent or energy bills) as well as food and clothing. However, in many cases there will not be funds available, and applicants will instead be referred to other programs in the region, ranging from local non-profits to public aid.

The charity works with churches, civic and school organizations, and non-profits to address hardships faced by families. Whenever someone seeks help, they will also partner with a case manager on accessing services that can address the cause of the crisis. This can include everything from job placement to activities such as budgeting and credit repair. This type of support, sometimes referred to as economic self-sufficiency, is a key to breaking the cycle of poverty and homelessness in Jackson County.
