Low income households in Palm Beach County can sign up for free school supply giveaway events as well as assistance programs. The participating agencies give students from elementary school to high school free items for the school year. Dozens of different items may be offered, and they include the following. Find many agencies below, or if additional help is needed, then locate free clothing closets in Palm Beach County.

  • Writing material for students, including pens, pencils, highlighters, crayon, markers, and more.
  • Backpacks and book bags.
  • Free school clothes including uniforms, shoes, sneakers, belts, etc.
  • Technical and electronic school supplies like calculators, tablets, compasses, and more.
  • More monetary include, including free gift cards, coupons, and vouchers to shop at Target, Wal-Mart and other stores for school supplies.
  • Hygiene supplies, even including free haircuts before the school year starts.

Dozens of other items may be given to income qualified Palm Beach County households. While most of the school supply giveaways target low income families and those in poverty, there may be charities that offer emergency aid too. This can be if the parent (whether married or a single mom or dad) has some short of short term financial crisis, regardless of income. They may too apply for help.

All of the free school supplies, uniforms and clothes go quickly. Parents need to apply early for help. The programs mostly operate during the summer and fall but some go year young in Palm Beach County.
