Oklahoma City short term housing and homeless shelters

Oklahoma County and city residents who are homeless or facing eviction can get help from a number of local shelters, non-profits, and short term transitional housing programs. The resources are focused on the very low income and those who need a place to live. Get information on a number of organizations that operate in the greater Oklahoma City region.

Regardless of your reason for struggling, the agencies will do what they can, if anything, to help. This can include offering short term shelter or providing referrals. Some clients may be able to enroll into transitional housing type programs and apartments. These will usually also provide case management type services to help prevent future episodes of homelessness.

Some non-profits in the greater Oklahoma County region also take a more-proactive approach. They may be able to help people apply for eviction prevention services, such as emergency rental programs. Or learn about, and get assistance in enrolling, into government subsidized apartments or homes.
