Kanawha County free food pantries.

Kanawha County pantries are involved in offering a number of food and basic need type programs to low income families. The services from a local center generally range from free groceries to clothing, applications to SNAP food stamps, and holiday meals/gifts.

Thousands of Charleston residents face hunger each month and they turn to one or more of the food banks below. The staff will try to do their best to satisfy the request from the non-profit and may offer both short term help (such as emergency box of groceries) as well as long term support, including applications to WIC, SNAP food stamps, and more.

Based on donation levels from the greater Kanawha County area, the assistance may range from fresh fruits, canned goods, baby formula, and more. Specialty services across the community can also assist, and examples are Meals on Wheels for the elderly or free Christmas gifts or holiday meals for families in poverty.
