Jackson, Lincoln, Union Parish food pantries.

In an effort to prevent hunger, there are food pantries that provide assistance to low income and struggling families in Jackson, Lincoln, and Union Parish Louisiana. They partner together with national organizations, such as Feeding America or local churches, in an effort to provide free food, Christmas meals, and even supplies such as baby formula.

The charities will not discriminate based on age, race, or religion. In fact there are locations that will deliver meals to senior citizens, or they provide free summer snacks to children during summer or holiday breaks. Other support for families in poverty may be SNAP food stamp applications and much more.

While the food pantries in parishes such as Lincoln or Union are widely disbursed, if one is not near where the family lives then referrals will be given. Or sometimes the resident may need to turn to a another solution, such as a soup kitchen or other local charity.
