The dental and medical clinics in the greater Detroit region can provide basic health and dental care to those in need as we;; as behavioral services. Many also have pharmacies as well as prescription medications. They are a good option for receiving primary health care services, however they tend to not offer urgent or emergency care. Most centers do instead focus on primary, preventative care, physicals, general check-ups, eye exams or vision tests, cancer screenings and support services. The Wayne County low income, free clinics may also have medical billing advocates on site as well as case workers to assist with insurance needs, Medicaid or Medicare applications and more.
