This non-profit charity organization will offer services that will help meet the emergency needs of Comal County residents. All applicants are served without regards to age, race, and there is no discrimination.

The main office is in the town of New Braunfels. If there is no emergency assistance, the clients can also still register for season programs, such as free Christmas toys or school supplies. Community Council of South Central Texas, Inc. ((830) 303-4376) is the local Comal County community action agency. They are a great place to call for help, and offer assistance to residents of New Braunfels and other towns. Call them to learn about rent and housing assistance program, energy bill such as LIHEAP, free food pantries, and other government assistance.
The non-profit also covers Comal County. The resources are limited, but struggling families, immigrants, and the underemployed can often get referrals. The Council may direct the client to grant programs for everything from security deposits to prescriptions or rent.
