Comal County assistance programs.

There are several non-profit organizations and charities that people can turn to for help in Comal County Texas. Whether it is money to pay rent or a security deposit, loan for paying housing costs or transportation, free dental care or food, there are many agencies. Get help from churches, non-profits, the government or other organizations. Find information and your options below.

Community Resource and Recreation Center (CRRC)
This non-profit assists families and local individuals who have a sudden or unexpected occurrence with financial assistance or some type of crisis. Assistance provided will be limited to electric, water, propane, pharmacy or rent expenses. Canyon Lake Texas. Note that this agency only serves the 78133 zip code. Phone (830)964-2324.

Salvation Army - (830) 608-9129
This non-profit charity organization will offer services that will help meet the emergency needs of Comal County residents. All applicants are served without regards to age, race, and there is no discrimination.

Assistance programs are provided to residents to help them with paying utility bills, rent and housing expenses, food, and disaster relief. Special programs also are in existence to provide assistance to the elderly and also children who live in the community. Find additional rent programs. More.

The main office is in the town of New Braunfels. If there is no emergency assistance, the clients can also still register for season programs, such as free Christmas toys or school supplies. Community Council of South Central Texas, Inc. ((830) 303-4376) is the local Comal County community action agency. They are a great place to call for help, and offer assistance to residents of New Braunfels and other towns. Call them to learn about rent and housing assistance program, energy bill such as LIHEAP, free food pantries, and other government assistance.

 

 

 

The non-profit also covers Comal County. The resources are limited, but struggling families, immigrants, and the underemployed can often get referrals. The Council may direct the client to grant programs for everything from security deposits to prescriptions or rent. All of this comes with a strong focus on case management from the Council of South Central Texas.

Family Life Center focuses on three different needs. The non-profit can provide free clothes, emergency financial aid, food, or loans. The categories in Comal County are as follows.

  • Clothing bank for work, everyday needs, and school uniforms.
  • Financial aid for paying rent, energy or electric bills, as well as mortgages.
  • A free food pantry is on site.

SOS, Inc. - (830) 629-3663
This agency provides emergency food issues. People in need of help can sign up for monthly food allotments to families in need of assistance in New Braunfels, Texas.

Housing, rent, and security deposit programs help everyone from the tenants to the homeless. Whether there is an emergency, or long term challenge, agencies offer financial help. They offer several resources. They offer programs including food aid, basic needs including clothing as well as physical goods, and more. They respond to requests for assistance from people in the area who are acute and chronically needy persons. The charity will provide aid in the form of clothing, food, and other forms of help. Dayspring Christian Fellowship, which is located at 1895 S Walnut Ave, also helps the less fortunate. There is mosslty basic needs offered, such as free groceries or emergency food or meals.
