Free Christmas and holiday assistance Buncombe County.

Applications for free Christmas toys, food baskets and free gifts are taken by some or all of the charities in the Asheville area below. The goal is to help low-income families, seniors and people with no money get help with the holidays. Programs range from Toys for Tots to Angel Tree and others. Find help with Christmas in the Buncombe County area.

The demand for additional help around the holidays is very high as many families struggle to buy the gifts their kids request. Or they struggle to pay for a Thanksgiving or Christmas meal. The non-profits below may be able to help by giving out free Christmas presents, food baskets and Thanksgiving turkeys. Kids can get Legos, dolls, sporting equipment, video or board games, tablets, clothes and so much more during the holiday.

Using donations from the community for programs such as Angel Tree or Adopt-a-Family, the goal is to provide children from low income families some form of gift or clothing item. In addition to getting a free toy or meal, including at Thanksgiving, some charities or churches in the Asheville area will pass out a free gift card  for Christmas shopping as well.
