Stearns County food pantries.

Food, groceries and items such as clothing is offered from regional pantries. The locations are for Stearns County Minnesota people in need of help. Most of centers will provide a limited amount of food, such as three days worth, and applicants will need to meet qualifications. Many of the pantries will also allow a customer to use the center at most once per month so people can’t use them multiple times. While resources will vary, pantries  may have both fresh and canned good available.

The goal of every center is to provide some short term relief to people when they are faced with an emergency or crisis situation. Some of the food banks can also refer clients to other social service programs or case managers, who can conduct an interview to address the individuals underlying challenge. In addition to groceries, some centers can help people apply for food stamps. Or they may be able to direct families with children to summer meals, clothing closets and Christmas assistance.
