The local community action agency is Community Resources, Inc. A number of free or low cost services are offered, including rent eviction prevention (FEMA only), FEMA Emergency Assistance on utility or electric service termination, vouchers for medical prescriptions. The agency may be able to provide services, information, and access to assistance programs which help the low income and poor obtain basic necessities that they need. In addition, work closely with a counselor to develop the longer term means to change those systems which cause poverty in the region.
