Emergency financial assistance
Central Oklahoma Community Action Agency - Stillwater and Payne County residents can receive emergency rental assistance if they have received an eviction notice or if they are behind on their monthly rent. Usually, the non-profit will also pay a portion of their rent. In addition the agency will also help people meet basic needs for free food, clothing, cooling and utilities, and housing costs, such as mortgage and rent. Family Support Services provides a food pantry, home buyer education, debt reduction, temporary housing, and family budget counseling.
Perkins United Methodist Church - The church has limited funding, but when money is available they can provide utility and rent help.
Lost Creek United Methodist Church runs a food pantry and it will also help with paying rent & utility bill when there is funds. (405) 377-0927
Love In Name of Christ - This agency is based in Cushing Oklahoma, and it provides the following. They offer services such as rent assistance, food pantry, utility bill help, RX and medications, Transportation, Free Clothes, Home improvement/modification, household items, weatherization, Transitional living, etc. May also have referrals to other local churches and charity organizations.
Ministerial Alliance of Perkins - Provides financial help for gasoline, utilities, rent, and other expenses. Phone (405) 547-2004.
Salvation Army Stillwater - Numerous programs are offered, including help for disaster services, financial services, rent and utility bill help, older adult services, worship center & youth services. The Stillwater Salvation Army also has the ability to house the homeless, they run a food pantry, clothing closet, & utility bill assistance. While a main office is in Stillwater Oklahoma, financial assistance and case management services are provided across all of Payne County. Stillwater Community Health Center - Offers prescriptions and low cost or free health care. Dial (405) 743-3171 to make an appointment.
Oklahoma Community Health Services, Inc. - The health care clinic provides a comprehensive range of medical and health care services to the uninsured and under insured in Payne County, including primary and preventive health care, dental assistance and care, mental health and substance abuse services, case management, and health education to low income and uninsured. Food banks and pantries
Sunnybrook Christian Church - Runs the Angel food program which provides discounted food. If this resource is no longer available then the church may have its own food items, groceries, and perishable goods from a pantry. Dial (405) 377-0923.

Faith Church, which can be called at (918) 225-5858, runs a food pantry.
Stillwater United Church runs a free food pantry. Can help Stillwater residents facing an emergency. 717 S Duck, Stillwater, OK 74074.
Mehan Union Church - The food pantry from this religious center is for Stillwater families, children, and seniors. (405) 743-2097.
There are a few other soup pantries as well as food banks in the region. Whether it is a church, or a charity service such as the Storehouse, they offer everything from groceries to holiday meals, Christmas gifts, clothes, and much more. Find Payne County food pantries.

Various assistance programs are offered by this non-profit. They include the following.
- Community clinic provides health care and medical services and prescription medications. The services are offered thanks to the help of volunteer doctors, nurses, and pharmacists.
- Weatherization - Energy conserving program helps low income and others in need of help.
- Transitional housing may be available for Payne County families that were evicted or are homeless.
- Referrals to government benefits, such as SNAP food stamps or LIHEAP. The COCAP non-profit can also direct clients to housing programs, ranging from grants to pay security deposits or emergency rental assistance in Stillwater.
