Salvation Army free holiday services
There are many centers scattered around Connecticut, each which offers help at Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas as well as year round. There is an Adopt a Family and Angel Tree program. The charity provides financial aid during the winter to pay the bills and a homeless shelter. Children can get new, wrapped Christmas presents (free toys, games, books, electronics, shoes, games, clothes, etc.) and parents can be given a holiday meals or free gift certificates for shopping.
