Free Christmas and holiday assistance Miami Dade.

Miami Dade County Florida charities and churches provide families and children with free Christmas gifts, toys, food baskets, as well as other holiday assistance. Charities will also hold other activities, including serving free Thanksgiving meals to low-income or struggling households and maybe holding holiday events. Find where and how to get free holiday help at both Christmas and Thanksgiving in the Miami FL area below.

The leading non-profits in Miami that provides this support include Toys for Tots as well as the Salvation Army Angel Tree as well as Adopt a Family program, but several other options are available to low income families for free Christmas presents or food as noted below. The programs tend to begin during the fall and run through the winter months. Apply early as resources are limited.

Assistance provided ranges from free Thanksgiving meals being served to groceries being passed out along with free toys for children in Miami, including immigrants and Spanish speakers. Residents can turn to pantries and other feeding sites during the holiday timeframe.

The Christmas assistance offered is wide ranging and is in both English and Spanish. Applications are usually processed in September and later. Qualified families, seniors, and children can receive free toys, school supplies, gifts, clothing, games, Legos, sporting goods, and more. What is passed out will really depend on donations and fund raisers from the community. Many of the Christmas programs also rely on contributions and generosity of individuals and businesses in the community.
