Free clothes, back to school supplies, and furniture assistance in Miami Dade County.

Clothing closets and furniture banks across southern Florida and Miami-Dade County provide free clothes, vouchers, school supplies to children, household furniture and other support to families or individuals. Some also have free furniture along with baby supplies including diapers. Churches, charities, and non-profits administer programs that pay for or provide secondhand or new clothes as well as other stuff to low income families and children.

Some of the centers serve as clothing exchange programs. This means that they administer programs that do everything include gather, sort, and distribute items to partner agencies, including charities, across Miami Florida. In addition to the clothing, locations may also have, or sell for low cost, furniture, free school supplies, personal hygiene items, and offer free Christmas assistance or birthday toys. While not as common, professional work attire or uniforms may be offered. If your income is low enough, or if you are homeless, then items may be provided for free.

The center is open to the general public. It offers/sells previously owned clothing such as shoes, toys, linens, housewares, toys, and sporting goods. While not as common, they may even have vehicles for sale on site. Proceeds of sale are used to benefit the charity agency's programs and client programs.

This is a certified non-profit organization that operates in Dade County. It provides referrals for clothing assistance for individuals and families in crisis. Other support can include food, information on housing/shelter, and in general staff can help people move from a place of instability to a place of self-sufficiency.

Various emergency assistance and social services are offered. Among them is a thrift shop that can have clothing or furniture. Christmas meals and free gifts or toys may be provided from resources such as Angel Tree. Other services include homeless prevention, vouchers for medications, funds for energy bills, back to school uniforms or supplies as well as clothes and more. Free furniture banks in Dade County
Several churches and charities give out supplies, based on donations. The programs may not be year round. Kitchen utensils, tables, couches, beds, and other free stuff may be offered. Dial 211. these locations may also have food, financial aid, and emergency help.
