Find free Christmas toys, gifts, and meals for low income families in Los Ageless County. Get holiday help from charities, churches, and other organizations. The programs, including free Toys for Tots and Angel Tree, focus on helping children, seniors citizens and people with no money among others in the region. Get free Christmas help in Los Ageless.

A number of resources are provided. Find holiday programs that give free Christmas toys, gifts, games, clothes, food baskets, turkey dinners or meals and more. There is help at both Thanksgiving and Christmas, including for immigrants, the homeless, and migrants. Kids will be able to get free gifts such as Legos, Matchbox cars. While income limits need to be met, the organizations do try to ensure all low-income families and kids have some form of holiday help, with applications for free Christmas toys in Spanish too. The non-profits rely on donations from the community and depend on the time that volunteers contribute to the programs. So the exact type and amount of Christmas items provided will vary depending on those factors, with some people even getting free Xmas gift cards, vouchers, trees or other stuff.

Some of the agencies may also employ staff and volunteers that can deliver goods to senior citizens and the homebound in Los Angeles County. If a center is not near you or is not able to help, then many of the non-profits also serve as a great place for referrals and information.

The charity supports all of Los Angeles County. Free holiday assistance may be available for anyone that qualifies based on income and other factors. The programs can also provide Thanksgiving meals, Turkeys, toppings, and baskets.

Catholic Charities - Los Angeles Inc.

Emergency services offered to the low income and working poor include food vouchers, free groceries, and also holiday baskets at both Christmas and Thanksgiving. There are several Catholic Charity centers that offer help around the holidays in Southern California, including in Santa Monica, Pasadena, eastern Los Angeles, and other area. There are local churches that are part of the charitable organization. The charity and its churches may also have referrals and information on other holiday programs.

Harbor Interfaith Services Inc.

This non-profit partners with other agencies and goes by many names, including Fish Emergency Center, Harbor Interfaith Shelter, and Urban Harvester Partner. Free Thanksgiving and Christmas assistance is provided, with emphasis on children in Los Angeles County. Baskets of food and hot meals are served. They may also contain toys for children 18 years and younger. Most of the services are available for residents of Torrance, Harbor City, Lomita, and San Pedro California.

Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza

Holiday gifts, the Anchors for Tots toy drive program, and other aid is available. The programs administered also accept and rely on Christmas gift donations. All goods are provided to low-income children, infants, and teenagers.

Salvation Army holiday programs
There are several centers across Los Angeles County. They operate food pantries that may have holiday meals and groceries. Other Christmas programs can include the Angel Tree or Adopt a Family. The bottom line is that volunteers and case managers try to ensure every child has some type of gift (clothing or toys) or free item to open around the Christmas season.

An Adopt a Family program is for low income families or those in poverty that are on government benefits. The Department of Social Services partners with charities to collect toys and games and provide them to children throughout the county that are part of the system. Clients of the holiday program often range from single moms to immigrants and the under-employed. Continue with Los Angeles public assistance programs.

Free Christmas gifts LA CountyToys For Tots Foundation - US Marine Corps
The programs operates from several sites in the county. Gifts, clothing, and toys are collected from the public and distributed to individuals at Christmas time. Most of the items collected are for children under the age of 14 and they are provided to kids from low income and unemployed families. Bellflower Volunteer Center

Supports residents of Bellflower only. Service provided to the less fortunate include free holiday baskets at Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. They may contain food, groceries, toys and clothing for children of all ages.

Grace Resource Center

Over 30 churches in the Los Angeles County and Antelope Valley region support and contribute to this holiday program. It also relies heavily on volunteers. Meals, gifts, toys, diapers, and other aid is provided.

Los Angeles SVDP
The Society of Saint Vincent is made up of local churches and volunteers. They help the poor, homeless, immigrants and others with basic needs, including at the holidays. Free food boxes, turkey dinners, small gifts or toys for kids, and a low cost thrift store are all offered. Some parents or single moms may also be given free gift cards for Christmas. World Harvest Food Bank

Catholic Charities LA County holiday programs

Many programs, including holiday assistance, is offered. They help refugees, immigrants, women facing DV and others get financial help as well as Christmas presents for their kids. There are multiple churches that are part of Catholic Charities in Los Angeles; the main intake customer service center is listed above. El Monte-South El Monte Association - Urban Harvester Partner

Help is provided to low income and less fortunate families with children. Assistance include Thanksgiving and Christmas baskets and the resources are limited to residents of El Monte and South El Monte California.

Referral hotline
Many other local LA County churches, charities, and non-profits hold Christmas toy giveaways (including the local citywide fire departments per below). Or they pass out free gift certificates, clothes, games, books, wrapped presents and more to kids of all ages, whether they are immigrants or US citizens.   • LA County Fire Departments
    Almost all of them collect money, Christmas gifts, clothes and more. The fire department then distributes them to kids for the holidays. Children from single mother or dad run homes, immigrants homeless kids and others can get free Christmas help. Lego, shoes, sneakers, electronics, tablets, and so much more is offered from the Sparks of Love program.

VOA - Volunteers of America
Free personal stuff may be offered. This may be birthday or Christmas toys, hygiene or household cleaning supplies, food or groceries, detergent, and other staples. This can also be a form of holiday help. More on assistance from Los Angeles County VOA.

Spark of Love Toy Drive
This is an annual event in which the LA Fire Department, social services and companies collect toys and give the to kids from struggling families. Los Angeles County applications for free toys
Each of these charities or non-profits takes applications to programs such as Toys for Tots. Children under the age of 14 can be given books, games, trucks for boys, tablets, dolls, clothes and more. Any free Christmas help is first come-served.

Free holiday help is for the homeless, migrants and LA families in poverty. There are clothes, hot meals (Thanksgiving and Christmas too), and small Christmas toys for kids from homeless and migrant families.

The YMCA of Los Angeles
The main programs that help families at Christmas is Share the Joy. They provide free Xmas gifts to kids under 16. Families, single low-income seniors or immigrants in LA county, can also get a free holiday food box. There are multiple distribution sites, and dial a location below.
