Free food pantries in Larimer County Colorado.

A number of churches, charities, and other organizations across Fort Collins and Larimer County Colorado can distribute free food, meals, and groceries to the needy. The leading distribution centers to call or stop by at are below. Most locations are open limited hours, and can also provide only a select amount of groceries or emergency boxes of food over a defined period of time. Other charities only serve hot meals as a last resort to the needy.

Many of the food pantries in Larimer County also have staff and volunteers who will talk to people who need help. They can provide them with additional information such as details on public aid, applications to SNAP food stamps, clothing closets, and programs such as LIHEAP. So these food banks are a great place to turn to for advice, support, and of course, a box of groceries and meals.

Loveland Vineyard Community Church – Distributes non-perishable food and groceries such as fruit, peanut butter, tuna, canned vegetables, cereal, pasta, rice, soups, crackers, beans, tomato sauce, and other incidentals. Free food is provided to the needy on a short term basis, and groceries are supplied to individuals requesting aid at no cost. Except in a crisis situation, recipients of the resources offered need to have a Food Stamp card from Colorado. Aid is only offered at most once per month, and farm workers and migrants can qualify too.

The Loveland Food Share program provides assistance, meals, and groceries to all qualified Larimer County residents. This center also has partnership with churches and pantries in the greater Fort Collins area as well.

Zion Lutheran Church of Wellington provides both emergency and on-going food boxes to needy persons twice a month. Federal income guidelines need to be met.

Free or low cost food boxes of non-perishable items are offered to families in need of help. They also serve Christmas meals to the homeless and fmilies living in poverty.

Fort Collins Salvation Army addresses basic human needs. The charity agency provides programs such as free food and clothing, household items, hygiene kits, and food baskets and holiday gifts for children.
