Free healthcare clinics in Georgia.

Get information on free or cheap health care in Georgia. Low-income families, people with no money or insurance and families on Medicaid can use a clinic near them for medical care. Get prescription drugs, physicals or eye exams, diabetes management, therapy, cancer screenings and womens care among other services. Find a free clinic in GA near you, as well as a referral number at the bottom of the page for locations.

The centers will provide the low income and uninsured with medical help and access to free doctors, psychiatrists or telehealth as well. While some of the medical services may be affordable as offered on a sliding scale, many of the community clinics, including Federally Qualified Health Centers or Rural Health Clinics will provide free health care to healthcare.

Medical services offered will vary by clinic. Some centers may have an onsite pharmacy that distributes free or low cost medications, can provide lab work or Xrays, give out prescription glasses, provide free insulin, provide family planning or women’s medical care, OB/GYN and more. Some Georgia clinics in your community may only offer basic medical care like immunizations, physicals or check ups, doctor or demand as well as assistance to diabetics. Most of the health centers in Georgia will do what they can to help anyone who needs it, and will not try to turn anyone away from receive health care.

The state of Georgia has used government funds from the Disproportionate Share Hospital (DSH) Program in order to provide free health care to the indigent and poor. The resource is known as the Indigent Care Trust Fund and dozens of hospitals across the state provide it to their patients. A regional Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). The uninsured, low income, elderly, and others can get free medical care, regardless of income. Doctors and staff offer help to infant, child, adult and seniors. There are also free physical exams, health risk screenings, preventative health services and assistance with diabetes. They partner with multiple charities, non-profits, and social service agencies. The list of medical centers known as Mercy can provide a sliding fee scale.
