Free food banks, soup kitchens, and food pantries in Dupage County Illinois.

Food banks, soup kitchens and charity run free emergency food pantries in Dupage County offer free groceries as well as other forms of assistance to low-income families and people with no money. Support is offered to applicants of all backgrounds, ages, and gender. Residents of the Wheaton Illinois area can also contact the distribution centers near them, which are open today. Locate free food pantries near you in Dupage County for groceries, personal toiletries, Meals on Wheels and other services.

There are a few dozen main facilities, including drive thru pantries, that operate across the Dupage County area and they are listed below. There is also a phone  number at the bottom of the page for other food assistance programs. Not only can they provide families and individuals with food, perishable items, fruits and vegetables, but many centers can also offer other forms of other aid. They also tend to give free Christmas or Thanksgiving meals too. Centers and the staff members there can often help people apply for government assistance, both Illinois and federal programs such as SNAP food stamps.

Thousands of families, unemployed individuals and seniors benefit from the facilities every month. You will need to call the center closest to you in order to get the specifics on what programs are offered and how to get help. Or to learn more on resources, locate other free food pantry programs both locally and nationwide.

Many of the Dupage food banks cover a limited area or certain neighborhoods of Chicago or the greater county. However most offer referrals, so call a drive thru food bank or non-profit center near you for information or alternate locations.

There are free groceries, dairy, paper products (such as toilet paper), soap, detergent and more. Pasta, spaghetti sauce, bread, and other goods may be offered. In addition to food, low income can receive financial assistance once a month. There are also free Thanksgiving dinners, school snacks for kids, household cleaning supplies and other items.
