Denton County emergency financial assistance programs

One local non-profit agency to turn to is Interfaith Ministries. This charity organization provides assistance with paying utilities, prescriptions or medical supplies, and transportation. It also offers and coordinates adult and child eye exams and eye glasses, offers school supplies for children and assistance with obtaining vital records.

The Denton Texas based nonprofit primary function is to provide a variety of emergency assistance programs that can help individuals who are facing a crisis. It will help these people by paying their bills, rent, and/or housing expenses. The number one goal of the agency is to enable clients to regain their financial stability and independence over the long term.

Interfaith Ministries is a non-profit agency that is partly funded by the United Way of Denton County, and its services offered are not unique as you will read below. Since funding is limited, there may be instances in which the charity will issue a loan to the client for their bills or paying a portion of back rent that is due.

One of the keys to getting aid is that people who need help should not wait to call and ask. The sonner seeking financial help or support from Interfath (or any agency) the better.

As an example, someone in need of support should call and request assistance or money as soon as they know their electricity is going to be cut off, rather than waiting until the last minute. Or call way before they face an eviction. Funding is limited, so call early. (940) 565-5479. Or find more details on Interfaith Ministries assistance programs.
