Low income Denton County families can get help at the Christmas and Thanksgiving holidays. Charities across the region provide children with free Christmas gifts or toys, offer meals to senior citizens, and pass out boxes of food to the entire family. Whether a household is living in poverty or has an emergency, assistance is available from charities during Christmas as well as Thanksgiving.

Denton County Toys for Tots program
This is the main service in the county. Thousands of low income families, the unemployed, and those in poverty get help. Applications are normally accepted in November and early December, and presents are given on a first come – first served basis.
