Free food banks, soup kitchens and food pantries in Cuyahoga and Cleveland.

Get free food and groceries from Cuyahoga County as well as Cleveland food pantries. The various distribution centers help tens of thousands of individuals each and every year. They can provide perishable items, meals, household products, personal hygiene items, baby formula, and other forms of food assistance to people throughout the community. Find locations of free, emergency food pantries in the Cleveland Ohio area near you below as well as a toll free referral number at the bottom of the page.

Each food bank in the greater Cleveland area will operate under its own hours, and also provide various resources to individuals and families, including some or all of those indicated above. Many locations will request that individuals call in advance for hours and to get specifics on what is or isn’t provided, as funding and hours tend to be limited.

The various Cuyahoga County Ohio food pantries are dedicated to helping as many people as possible, and very few individuals, if any, will be turned away if they request assistance. Even if a location can’t meet your need, then staff will try to provide referrals to other resources, whether it a public benefit such as SNAP or maybe a free soup kitchen. Or they serve free Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas meals or pass out holiday food baskets. Never hesitate to contact a church, food bank, or pantry in your neighborhood.
