Food banks, soup kitchens and free food in Cuyahoga County and Cleveland.

Get free food, hot meals as well as canned groceries from Cuyahoga County as well as Cleveland OH area food pantries. The various distribution centers listed below help families and people with little or no money. They can provide perishable items, meals, personal hygiene items, baby formula, and food boxes to people throughout the community. Find free food pantries in the Cleveland Ohio area that may be near you below including drive thru food banks that are open daily.

Each food bank as well as soup kitchen in the greater Cleveland region will operate under its own hours. The programs vary too, with some operating pet food banks or local Meals on Wheels services for the homebound and some Cuyahoga County soup kitchens serve multiple hot meals per day too. Or they serve free Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas meals or pass out holiday food baskets. Many distribution centers will request that individuals call in advance for hours and to get specifics on what is or isn’t provided, as funding and hours tend to be limited.

The various Cuyahoga County Ohio food pantries are dedicated to helping as many people as possible, and very few individuals, if any, will be turned away if they request assistance. Even if a drive thru pantry or charity location can’t meet your needs, then staff will try to provide referrals to other resources, whether it a public benefit such as SNAP food stamps, Meals on Wheels or a free soup kitchen. Even learn about what can you buy with food stamps.
