Transitional housing and homeless shelters in Burlington County
There are several, short term temporary housing programs in Burlington County that can help homeless people or those close to it. Emergency shelters, transitional housing, and local churches and charities offer support. The goal is to help people in crisis get a place to stay for a short period of time, and locate temporary housing near you in the Burlington County NJ area.
Each program focuses on certain situations. Some emergency homeless shelters help veterans and others women with kids. Free temporary housing programs in Burlington County
YMCA of Burlington County runs shelters and helps with individual development. Some resources have minimal fees and others are free. The Affordable Homes Group - Homes of Hope - Both low and more moderate income residents can access permanent, long term housing or apartments. Delaware House - Delaware House Mental Health Services of Catholic Charities is at 25 Ikea Dr, Westampton, NJ 08060. Transitional housing, disability resources and even rent help for the mentally ill. Dial(609) 267-9339. This is temporary, supportive housing for the vulnerable in the community.
BCAP - Burlington County Action Program - For Burlington New Jersey residents facing eviction, the non-profit can help. Get case management and referrals to funds for rent or utilities may be offered. This is available after the transitional housing process has been completed. Family Promise operates various assistance programs, including a homeless shelter. They also help women with kids in Burlington County that need a place to go. The Salvation Army has multiple homeless shelters and income based, transitional housing programs in New Jersey, including Burling County. Some of these also provide adult rehab. The Extended Hand Ministry helps homeless men. There is a free, emergency homeless shelter. For information on whether a room is offered, call (609) 914-4270. Respond Inc. - State Street Housing is a regional charity that can help the homeless and very low income. There may be referrals to crisis programs for paying overdue rent, transitional housing, and other support services. Dial (856) 365-4400, but note the main office is in Camden.
