Many of the non-profit or charitable clinics also provide free dental care. They will use a combination of volunteer doctors, dentists and nurses as well as Board Certified physicians to help low-income families or people with no insurance or money get the care they need. There will be eye exams, free medications or insulin, health care for women issues, teeth cleanings or emergency extractions and much more. All health care provided to adults or kids is of the highest quality. People on Medicaid can also get free medical care. Most services from the free clinics can either be offered at no or low cost to Bexar County Texas families, adults, or children.

The health center, income based clinics, and medical programs often will provide family practice, pediatrics, free dental cleanings and internal medicine. Additional services offered include lab work, obstetrical care, health education workshops, immunizations, annual physical exams, prescription medications, and family planning.
