Clothing closets and furniture banks in Anne Arundel County not only provide free clothes, household furniture items or vouchers to pay for stuff. They also arrange other support for low income families including free back to school supplies, diapers, school supplies, kitchen or household appliances and more . Many of the locations, which tend to be charity agencies, also refer clients to other assistance programs in the area. This may include free back to school supply drives for students from K-12, food pantries, or programs that help with employment needs.

Some of the centers will offer free items to the needy and low income, and this is a focus of the clothing banks. Other distribution centers in Anne Arundel County will sell goods to residents, and that is a focus of the thrift stores. The charity serves the needy. Everything from clothing (such as winter coats, boots, and school uniforms) to financial aid and food is available. There are also eyeglass vouchers, baby supplies, and other basic needs. The charity helps the vulnerable regardless of religion.

United Way Community Partnership of Anne Arundel County

The homeless and people behind on their rent can get help. Personal hygiene items are available from the clothing closet. There is also a shower, a computer for job searching, winter coats, and free professional work attire. Children of the homeless can be given free school backpacks, notebooks, and other supplies.




Christian Assistance Program clothing closets

Anne Arundel County Public Schools

A leading church - charity. A free food pantry and clothing bank are on site. There are birthday and Christmas toys, a free back to school supply giveaway event, holiday meals, financial assistance, and programs for single moms. Other aid includes blankets, school book bags, shoes, uniforms, and more. Some students from kindergarten to high school may be given Chromebooks or other at home leading stuff. American Red Cross
