Food Pantries in Anne Arundel County / Annapolis, Maryland Area.

Anne Arundel County's food assistance network is anchored by the Anne Arundel County Food Bank, which coordinates more than 70 partner pantries and operates a Mobile Food Pantry making monthly distributions across the county. The main free food and meal distribution sites are below. The Light House in Annapolis is the county's most comprehensive daily resource, serving free hot lunches every weekday and running a Fresh Market three days a week open to any community member.

Another option is ACAN in Severna Park, which is among the largest pantries in the county, serving thousands of residents a year including in a drive-up format. Soup kitchens serving hot meals to the public without income requirements operate at the Light House, Asbury United Methodist Church, First Baptist Church of Annapolis, and Harundale Presbyterian Church in Glen Burnie.

Tip: Most pantries require a photo ID and limit visits to once per month; several serve Anne Arundel County residents only. For a referral to the nearest open pantry, call the Anne Arundel County Food Bank at (410) 923-4255, or dial 211 at any time. The hours at many locations may fluctuate day to day or week to week, but general distribution hours are below.

    Client-choice pantry. Generally open the third Thursday (3–5pm), Friday (3–5pm), and Saturday (9–11am) of each month. Serves Broadneck Peninsula area; income eligibility required for monthly service, but one-time emergency food is available to anyone. Baby food and formula when available.
