Free food pantries in Anne Arundel County and Annapolis.

Several free pantries as well as soup kitchens, including churches and charities in Anne Arundel County Maryland, offer families free food, meals, and groceries to the needy in the community. While each will offer their own resources, centers will normally have non-perishable and canned food or grocery items. Some free food pantries near you may distribute fruits and vegetables, or hot meals from kitchens, or they may have information on who offers that service. there will often be free Christmas, Thanksgiving, and Easter meals too. Qualifications and restriction are also put into place by the various Annapolis as well as Anne Arundel County food pantries. Many will often limit the number of times someone can use a center, or they will require proof of the hardship and proper ID. In general, the food banks will try to do their best to help as many people as possible and not turn any family away. If they can’t meet your need, people can be referred to other agencies and non-profits across Maryland.

This pantry holds both food giveaway programs and runs a soup kitchen. Hot meals are offered on Saturdays. In addition, the items passed out will offer baked goods, breads, pastries, and other foods (except fruits and vegetables) that are given away. Fruit and vegetable giveaways are held less frequently and depend heavily on when more regional food banks supply the church.

A food bank can provide emergency groceries or free boxes of food to those in need. Baby supplies are offered too, and can include diapers, formula and clothes. Rarely items such as baby furniture may be offered, but there are no guarantees.

If the center can’t help you, the non-profit will assist callers in finding a local food pantry that will serve them what they need and provide a referral if needed. Lastly, the program provides free fresh produce to those in need at the Farmer's Market Pavilion. Come early as resources and support is limited.

Provides mostly canned goods and non-perishable food items to individuals and families who need help. From time to time may have perishable good, such as fresh fruits, vegetables, or meats. Applicants need to have a picture ID with current address, and aid is limited to at most once per month.

There is a free food pantry and soup kitchen. Get groceries, free bag lunches, and other goods. There may be canned meats, perishable fruits or vegetables, Diced tomatoes, cooking oils and other groceries.

Salvation Army
There are multiple locations for food, financial aid, free holiday means (Christmas or Thanksgiving) and other support. Both free food, groceries and other financial help is offered. Or Anne Arundel County families can get free personal hygiene supplies, including laundry detergent, toilet paper, cleaning supplies and similar goods. The centers also offer free holiday meals and Christmas toys as well as a thrift store.

There are multiple. Programs range from a thrift store to food bank to clothing closet. Get fresh produce, dry or canned groceries, free feminine products, or housing resources. Other assistance includes work and school clothing for men, women and children. Assistance is provided on Wednesdays, and people can only get help once per month. The location also accepts donations of small appliances, clothing, housewares, books, furniture, etc. that are in usable condition.

Offers non-perishable items. While not as common, the center may be able to provide baby food and formula to needy, infants, and pregnant mothers in Anne Arundel County. If you are applying for the first time, you may qualify for emergency help and will not need to wait for aid.
