There are free Christmas toys for kids, Thanksgiving and holiday food baskets for seniors or the low-income   and other stuff provided. Most of the assistance is provided during Christmas and this is when households with children can apply for Adopt a Family or Angel Tree from the Salvation Army. There are several major fund raising projects held during the year. Throughout the holiday season, volunteers will give away toys, games, household supplies, bicycles, tablets, Legos, Matchbox cars, video consoles and much more to low income households or single mothers in the Flagler and Volusia County area.

Whether a family lives in Volusia County, Daytona Beach, Deland Florida or in other, nearby areas such as Flagler County, there may be assistance available for them. A major focus is on ensuring children, the elderly, and disadvantaged have assistance during the holidays. The fact is that every child should have a present to open under the Christmas tree. Others, such as seniors and families living in poverty, also deserve a Thanksgiving or Christmas meal.

Salvation Army of Volusia County

The charity offers toys, food and the Adopt a Family program at Christmas. Other year round support is offered too, including a local clothing center. There are also free Thanksgiving turkey dinners in Volusia County, gift cards for Christmas shopping, food baskets and more. This offices supports residents in the East Volusia County area. The faith based charity provides help to anyone that meets application criteria. This office is for West Volusia County. They giveaway Xmas toys from Angel Tree, Christmas decorations, clothes, gift cards and other items.

 

 

 

Flagler County Salvation Army Service Center

Another Salvation Army center. Senior citizens can get a free meal delivered to them. They also offer electric bill assistance, Angel Tree programs for Christmas presents, and a low cost thrift store in Flager County Florida. The Neighborhood Center of West Volusia & Thrift Store

Year round programs are offered, including financial help for bills and free food. They also offer Christmas assistance to the working poor, disabled and elderly. Free Toys for Tots, gift cards, games, books, and Easter, Thanksgiving or Christmas food baskets.

Social services range from Christmas assistance to school supplies. They offer small, material goods to qualified low income families.

Toys For Tots of Volusia/Flagler Counties
The application period will normally end by late November. The programs is for both counties, including the regions of Ormond Beach, Edgewater, Daytona Beach and New Smyrna. Donations of clothes, gifts, electronics, and other toys are for children from low income households.

Daytona Beach Fire Department
They have a Toy Drive for Kids each year. It is run in partnership with the Early Learning Coalition Of Flagler and Volusia Counties (ELCFV).
