Stafford County rental assistance.

Whether it is the government, or a charity, emergency rental assistance is available in Stafford County. There are funds issued to help keep a family in their home or apartment. Additional grants can assist with paying costs ranging from security deposits to lease application fees, energy bills, and more. Find help for paying rent from one or more of the agencies below.

When applying for short term rent assistance, be sure to bring documentation including proof of income, a copy of the lease, and copies of all energy bills. Many local agencies may offer the money themselves while others will refer the applicant to another local social service agency. Legal aid is also often used to help stop evictions in the region. Some applicants may also be given a no interest loan for paying any back rent; so each scenario is different.
