Solano County free holiday assistance.

Solano County families can apply for one of the many Christmas assistance programs. There are charities, donation services, and churches that provide free gifts or toys as well as meals to the less fortunate. The places to go to in order to participate in holiday joy are as follows.

When applying for help during Christmas, applicants need a birth certificate, proof of household income, and also evidence of the need, such as food stamp letter or Cal-care. Clients can only get holiday help from one of the charities in the area and there is no duplication of services. What is given to the client depends on donation levels, but it may be gifts, free toys, clothing, electronics, bikes, and more.

Also keep in mind that the application process will normally start as early as October in Solano County. Assistance is first come – served and the gifts passed out can vary widely throughout this period of time. Once the items or food boxes are gone, there is no more help provided.
