A couple dozen churches, food banks, pantries, non-profit centers and charities operate in the county, including in Fairfield and Vallejo. Call a center near you for information on assistance programs. Most of the food pantries offer free or low cost groceries, food, meals, and other resources such as baby items, diapers or baby food. The assistance is for individuals and families who live in Solano County, including migrant workers, immigrants and single moms.
