A couple dozen churches, food banks, pantries, and charities operate in the county, including in Fairfield and Vallejo. Call a grocery distribution center near you for information on assistance programs. Most of the food pantries, including drive thru food banks, offer free or low cost groceries, food, meals, and other resources such as  diapers or baby food. The staff also help people apply for Cal-Fresh or an EBT card. The assistance is for individuals and families who live in Solano County, including migrant workers, immigrants and single moms.
