No matter how they operate, a number of distribution centers provide free meals, produce and give away free food to people of all backgrounds. The soup kitchen serves meals to the homeless and people living in poverty. Many immigrants also drop in for support. They also serve holiday meals, including at Christmas.

Food Bank of Santa Barbara County California is part of Feeding America. They, and their partners, provide a wide number of services to struggling families and individuals across the region. Rarely, if ever, will anyone be turned away. Some of the services include meals perishable groceries, government surplus food, and mobile food pantries. They help older people get healthy food, even including low salt or USDA communities. Get free ensure or boost drinks, eggs, boxes of food catered to older adults and more. Senior citizens can even apply to a low cost Meals on Wheels service for home deliveries.

No matter the client’s faith or religion, free food, meals and more is offered. A box of groceries, commodities for seniors like cheese, eggs or the like and more is provided.
