Free Christmas and holiday assistance Riverside County.

Struggling families in Riverside County can receive free holiday assistance, including Christmas toys or meals as well as Thanksgiving turkey dinners, for their children. Other programs are focused on helping senior citizens, single moms and the disabled. Find where and how to get free Christmas toys, gifts, presents, meals for the homeless and more in Riverside CA.

While resources are limited, find charities and non-profits that are committed to assisting the less fortunate and the poor. Based on donations clients, in particular kids and teens, can get free Christmas toys to open. Or families can get free holiday food boxes, presents, gift cards for shopping and more. The main programs in Riverside County include free Toys for Tots, Angel Tree, Adopt a Family, as well as several other Christmas and Thanksgiving charitable resources.

The non-profits rely on donations and contributions from the general public and local businesses. Qualified families and their children may receive help on a first-come served basis. Some centers and programs may allow clients to “shop” for exactly what they need, so kids can pick toys like video games, Legos, dolls, trucks or other goods they want. Other locations in Riverside County will distribute the items directly to the needy.

The main focus of these Riverside groups is always on the children, and the agencies want to ensure kids from low income families have some toys and gifts to open on Christmas morning. The enrollment periods usually take place during the fall through November. So apply early.
