The Salvation Army is a leading church based charity in Rapides Parish. They offer everything from emergency rent assistance to grants to pay utility bills, free food, hot meals, a homeless shelter and more. Volunteers, professional social workers, and others from the organization work to help the less fortunate with everything from their basic needs to advice, mentoring, and referrals.
