The Philadelphia region, as well as all surrounding counties, have some free back to school supply giveaway programs, charities that collect and donate goods, as well as other programs for students. There is help for immigrants, children from inner-city schools, and anyone in need. They can all apply for free school items. Depending on age and grade of the student, they may need some or all the following supplies. But there is never a guarantee to getting these items or any assistance in the Philadelphia area, as what is offered depends on donation levels.

There could be Pencil boxes, crayons, Backpack, lunchbox, scissors, rulers, index cards, calculators, folders, and more. Some of the school supply clothing items may be socks, shoes or boots, uniforms, pants or dresses, and more. Each giveaway event has different goods passed out, and some of the events in Philadelphia even give out free food or meals during the events too.

Salvation Army Centers and Social Services
There are several all-around, whether in Chester, Bucks, or Philadelphia County. Each offer emergency assistance, both grants and basic items such as school supply giveaways, birthday ort holiday days, shelter, meals, and more. City and countywide Philadelphia School Supplies Drive
Volunteers from churches, charities, and other groups work together to collect items from the community. Students from low income families and those in poverty can be given free school supplies, ranging from binders to backpacks, shoes, winter jackets, pens, computers and more.
