Students of all ages across Orlando can get free school supplies as well as clothes, uniforms and more. There are several charities in Orange County that help low income families with students get the school supplies they need, ranging from writing material to backpacks, sneakers, computers and other goods. Find how to get help from groups ranging from the Salvation Army to the Gift for Teaching program, which also helps teachers in the Orlando Florida region get what they need for their classroom. There are many supplies for students of all ages in Orlando (as well as teachers). Charities may give away chrome books, rulers, book bags, highlighters, pencils, crayons, and more. As part of the low income, back to school supply assistance programs there are often hygiene type services or goods given to children, such as dental cleanings, haircuts, or general toiletries. Some parents (or teachers) may be given free gift cards to shop for school items too.

Salvation Army of Orange County region
The Christian, faith-based charity helps kids and youth (among others). There is a free back to school supply program as well as after school tutoring, low cost summer camps, and Christmas toys – not to mention food. An annual back to school supply event is run. Companies even give back, as well as volunteers, by giving students from haircuts. Or physicals, sporting equipment, dental cleanings and other goods are given out, including to migrants and immigrants.

Orange, Osceola, and Seminole County Catholic Charities
Basic needs are offered as well as a health care clinic, immigration help, homeless shelters and housing resources. The churches also feed students during the school year or summer breaks. Poor and low-income students can apply for free clothes or school items of all types. There may be notebooks, pens, pencils, calculators, and even supplies for teachers. Financial aid along with school supplies, gift cards and other items help low-income families as well as single moms. There may be backpacks, book bags, pens, pencils, use of a computer lab and other free educational supplies.

Programs include a free food pantry and clothing closet. They help families with benefits (including to SNAP food stamps or USDA school lunches) and also give students of all ages supplies (as needed and donations allow). There may be protractors, rulers, laptop bags, shoes or shorts, school backpacks and other goods.

The faith based group collects school supplies then provides them to low income families. They try to collect items such as  spiral notebooks, Colored pencils, glue sticks, backpacks, small electronic like calculators or tablets and more. Students from low income households can apply.

They collect school supplies and provide them to local Orange County schools as well as students. There may be folders, markers, paper, notebooks and more items.

Teachers only can try A Gift for Teaching. The address is 6501 Magic Way Building 400, Orlando, FL 32809. The program tries to help teachers “furnish” and supply their classroom. Based on donation levels and resources, there may be free back to school supplies. There are items for kindergarten to high school age kids. Electronics, uniforms, laptops or Chromebooks, notebooks, textbooks and much more if offered. Teachers only can dial 407-318-3123. This is not a program for students.
