Below is a comprehensive listing of free preventative and emergency dental centers as well as dentists. Assistance is given to people without health insurance, the low income, elderly and families on Medicaid (OHP Oregon Health Plans). There are free teeth cleanings, root canals, emergency oral surgery, extractions, X-rays, implants and more. Find free dental care in OR near you.

The low-income, patients with no money or income and kids as well as adults will get help. Many of the free dental programs in Oregon are part of the Federally Qualified Health Center program. There are charities,  non-profits, and social services. The exact type of services offered will vary by location. Some will have cleanings, checkups, wisdom teeth removal, dentures or even offer surgery’s.

Each clinic is focused on helping the low income as well as under and uninsured with receiving access to dental care and other needs they may have. There are also free care for children as well as adults. If a need is complicated, specialists may be available at some clinics or a patient can be referred to one. Caring Hands Free Dental Services

There is free preventative dental, such as cleanings, exams, oral cancer screenings and more. The non-profit, Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) will also offer other assistance programs as appropriate, for the population served, such as bilingual providers social services and basic medical.

Medical Teams International

College and educational dental centers as well as clinics in Oregon
The locations below are run by colleges and/or technical schools. Children, seniors, and the uninsured can get free basic dental care, or there is support given for a minimal fee. All dental care is supervised by professionals. A college clinic can be a great option to save money.

Students and professionals can offer patients educational, preventative and therapeutic dental hygiene services. All people of all ages and income may qualify for care.

  • Portland Community College Dental Clinic, 1819 SW 5th Ave, Portland OR 97201. Phone - 971-722-4909. Another teaching facility that individuals can turn to for their dental care. Note the services offered are not intended to replace regular or extensive dental care in private dental offices, but to just supplement them. Both preventive dental services and Fees Payment for services is due on the first scheduled treatment appointment.
  • Ohsu School Of Dentistry, Portland, OR 97239. Call 503-494-8867. This is the primary clinic in the School of Dentistry. Student perform a number of dental services, under the close supervision of professional dentists.
  • Mt. Hood Community College Dental Hygiene Clinic, Gresham, Oregon 97030. Dial 503-491-7176. Low income adults, and people without insurance, can access programs and services. Wheeler County Oregon is served by the health and dental provider. The facility operates both a main clinic in Fossil 5 days a week, and satellite clinics in Mitchell and Spray Oregon.
