Receive access to social services from the Salvation Army of Rocky Mount and Nash County. Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church - EBC-ATOM, Inc. is another charity organization. They offer assistance for the low income and the needy with low to moderate-income housing. This includes income based apartments. In addition to housing and rent issues, they also provide funds for assistance with paying utility bills. Nash Community Action, also known as NEED, oversees a few different programs in the region. The local Economic Development agency is part of the nationwide network, and some of the solutions available are below.

Medical Clinic of Sharpsburg offers free medical and dental care for low income and uninsured, among others. The non-profit is a community clinic that offers a wide range of free medical services, including eye exams, dental check ups and more to low to middle income families in the area.
