Get free holiday and Christmas assistance in Trenton and Mercer County.

Assistance programs are available during the holidays, including Easter and Christmas. Charities, churches and non-profits in Mercer County such as free Toys for Tots help children and low income families. Find where to get free holiday food baskets, Christmas gift, Thanksgiving turkey dinners, hot meals and other help.

Each year thousands of families (and children) from Trenton New Jersey and Mercer County get help. There is Salvation Army which gives out free holiday meals as well as Christmas toys or clothes from Angel Tree. Catholic Charities and Toys for Tots (among other non-profits in Trenton) also provide free Christmas toys, books, clothes, electronics and even gift cards.

Most of the assistance goes to children under the age of 17. The exact free toys, food baskets, Christmas presents or holiday meal programs also rely on donations from the greater Mercer County community. This means each applicant will have some flexibility in what they request, but Christmas and Thanksgiving programs are limited.
