Food pantries, free groceries or meals in Lee and Russell County AL.

Food banks across the counties of Lee and Russell can help low-income families that are facing hunger as well as people with no money. The pantries as well as soup kitchens are mostly located at churches and charities in the region. Using donations from the community, and relying on volunteers, the locations may pass out free boxes of food or serve a meal. Find a pantry near you in Russel or Lee County AL.

But much more may be provided too. This includes free pet food, produce, or Meals on Wheels for the homebound in the area. Each location will have an application process, which usually requires proof of income, residency, and more. They also may offer distribution at only certain times of the week. However, even if one of the local Lee County pantries can't meet the request, they will have referrals. Many of the locations even offer clients access to a number of other resources such as a free tablet with an EBT card, but that will vary by agency.
