Several organizations in NE Florida give away free school supplies to students from grades K to 12. All sorts of items are provided ranging from shoes to backpacks, clothes (uniforms), writing material and more. Most of the charities and churches listed below (as well as some corporations) have been doing this for years, but there may only be a couple days per year that they are offered. All sorts of goods can be provided to kids and even teachers that need help with classroom supplies. In addition to school items, as wide ranging as Chromebooks to lunchboxes and pens/pencils, some of the organizations also give out gift cards to pay for school supplies or personal hygiene kits. Once a year an annual back to school bash is held in which students in Clay County can get free supplies. There may be items such as pens, highlighters, crayons for younger kids and so much more – based on donations.

Back to School “party” is held once per year with one or more school in St. Augustine Florida. The non-profit arranges for students (including the uninsured) to get free health care and check ups while also passing out supplies.
Family Support Services
They run a program known as Packs 4 Jax. It is similar to “adopt a Family” in which people shop and pick up school stuff for kids based on their request. Programs range from a food pantry that gives students healthy groceries as well as school supply giveaways. Everything from sneakers, calculators and other items will be given out in a backpack that is grade appropriate. They also arrange for boys and girls to give a free haircut if they want it before school starts.

There are several throughout the entire NE Florida region. The Christian faith based charity helps low-income families and struggling people year round.
